Echinocereus Dasyacantha - Texas Rainbow Cactus -

Echinocereus Dasyacantha or Texas Rainbow Cactus is native to West Texas and parts of Southeastern Mexico.  The Blooms vary in color from yellows to pinks and purples, being quite Large in comparison to the Stems.  The Cylindrical Stems can reach a height of 12" and 3" wide and form small clumps.  The spines change color with age and give it a Rainbow-like appearance.  The dense spines often cover the Epidermis completely, hiding the lush green Stem.  This is a perfect cactus for an indoor sunny location or an Outdoor Garden.

Echinocereus Dasyacanthus is Cold Hardy down to a Low of 20°F.

Use a Gritty Soil Amendment with an Organic Cactus Mix.
