Agave Macroacantha A

The Agave Macroacantha is a hardy succulent native to Oaxaca, Mexico.  This is a beautiful Agave with pale blue skin and black spines!! It is a medium sized Agave compared to the rest of the genus, reaching heights of 1' to 2' tall and 2' to 4' wide in diameter.  It also clumps readily and provides plenty of pups for you to share with other gardeners.  This Agave is cold hardy to 20F.  This is considered a century plant, blooming once in it's life-time.  The bloom will be 6' tall shooting directly up into the sky displaying a tree-shape explosion of flowers!! This will happen when the plant is mature, taking around 15 years. Enjoy!
