Agave Filifera ssp. Schidigera

The Agave Filifera ssp. Schidigera is native to Chihuahua Mexico as well as Durango, Sanora, and Sinaloa,  The beautifully frayed, lanceolate leaves with their white markings contrasting quite well with the soft tints of green.  There are very sharp spines on this compact Agave that makes it a very fierce specimen that can reach a diameter of 1' tall and 2' wide.  This particular Agave is known to be able to tolerate temperatures down to 15F.

Use a gritty soil amendment with your organic cactus mix.
