Adenium Arabicum Thai Socotranum

Adenium Arabicum Thai Socotranum is a Cultivar from Thailand.  This Succulent, Desert Rose Tree grows a very Large Caudex.  Adenium is a Branching Tree that can grow to 10' Tall.  This particular Adenium Species can also be kept as a Bonsai.  The Tree Canopy is full of lush Foliage and early Pink Spring Flowers.

Adenium will communicate their Water Needs through their Swollen Base.  Their Thick Trunk will become soft if it is a Dehydrated Plant or if it is an Overly Watered Plant.  If your plant is soft at the Base or has a Squishy Caudex and you've been giving it plenty of water, I would unpot the plant and inspect the Roots.  If you feel it has been dry for a while then give it a good drink of water.

This Adenium Species is a Drought Tolerant Plant and likes Gritty Soil Substrate that allows the water to easily drain right through, soaking it's roots completely in between watering.  Adenium Thai Socotranum is Not Frost Hardy and should Not be kept outside in areas where temperatures drop Below Freezing.  Keep above 50°F
